Veggie
Heroes
An educational collectible-card set where vegetables become fantasy heroes. Each character combines a playful archetype with gamified nutritional information, building a visual language for a future strategy game.
A game world built from ingredients.
Veggie Heroes explores how nutrition can become character. Each vegetable is translated into a fantasy archetype, turning everyday ingredients into a playful universe with room for story, collection and play.
Character
Each ingredient becomes a distinct hero through silhouette, costume, weapon and personality.
Nutrition
Nutritional information is treated as part of the game language rather than a separate chart.
Play
Class, attributes and collection logic leave room for the cards to grow into a strategy game.
Built as a readable collection.
Every card shares a consistent frame, type system, stat line and identifier. Class, color and ingredient change from card to card while the set continues to read as one world.
Start with a familiar vegetable.
Give the ingredient a role to play.
Turn nutrition into a game-ready language.
Build a set that can evolve into play.
Information designed to invite play.
The project balances the warmth of illustration with a functional information layer. Nutrition lives inside the card system alongside class, abilities and visual identity, making the data feel collectible rather than clinical.
Every vegetable has a role to play.
An educational world with room to grow.
I created the illustrated vegetable heroes and the collectible-card system, then animated the cards in After Effects. The project combines character, nutritional information and game logic into a visual language designed to grow into a larger strategy-game world.
