FreeHAND

A personal series of six independent illustrations. Rather than sharing one subject or narrative, the pieces are connected by expressive linework, distressed surfaces and a tactile, collage-like visual language.

01 · Expressive drawing

The line carries the emotion.

Faces, hands and bodies are pushed beyond realism. Gesture, silhouette and distortion establish the mood before colour enters the image.

02 · Material language

Texture turns each image into an object.

Wrinkled paper, stains, torn edges and restrained colour give the work the weight of found pages rather than clean digital canvases.

01Contour

Dense drawing gives every form its structure.

02Surface

Paper and wear become active parts of the image.

03Contrast

Graphic black shapes anchor the organic detail.

04Restraint

Selective colour directs attention and mood.

03 · Cohesion

Different subjects. A recognisable hand.

The series deliberately has no shared theme. Its consistency comes from the drawing itself: layered contours, graphic shadows, aged surfaces and selective red, green and ochre accents.

The subject changes. The visual voice remains.
04 · Contribution

Illustration as a space for experimentation.

My role covered the complete creation of the series: concept, drawing, character construction, texture, colour, composition and final artwork. FreeHAND became a space for testing how far one visual voice could stretch across unrelated subjects while still feeling authored.
